Covid-19 Crisis Triage: Invisible Patterns of Discrimination
Ms Teri SzűcsZoom
In my presentation I would like to speak about the Covid-19 crisis triage protocol written and proposed by the Hungarian Chamber of Doctors. The ethical guidelines of this protocol do not differ significantly from the majority of similar proposals prepared by national health agencies worldwide. By closely examining the text, one can recognize certain discriminative strategies and patterns, in spite of the aim of the recommendation to exclude any kind of discrimination. My point of view is determined by my position as a home carer and a writer involved in recounting the intimate experiences of looking after a close relative who is living with dementia.
