Sleep an under-reported, diagnosed and appreciated aspect of health and wellbeing. Sleep disorder can be under-diagnosed to the tune of 80%, most commonly obstructive sleep apnoea with an estimated 1.5 million suffers being undiagnosed. Sleep disorders result in risk of life threatening and limiting disorders yet does not receive the attention it deserves. Now there is emerging evidence that OSA might be a risk factor for more serve COVID-19. To add to the concern longer term COVID-19 impacts could further worse sleep disorders and increase their prevalence with COVID-fibrosis.
